Vivian is a successful professional speaker and consultant who began her career as a pharmacist (University of Manitoba). She has experienced the profession from many sides in staff and managerial positions: independent community pharmacies, chain, and clinic pharmacies

An interest in teaching communication skills led to faculty positions at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Manitoba and the College of Pharmacy, Dalhousie University, Halifax NS.

Additional insights come from nine years with a major pharmaceutical company (Eli Lilly Canada Inc.) with positions in marketing, sales, and government and professional relations.

In 1987, Vivian Quiring and Associates Inc. was formed to provide speaking and consulting services.
